What not to forget when going for a badminton league match? See below our checklist of necessary items.

Badminton Match Checklist:

  1. Racket: Make sure your racket is in good condition and strung to the right tension.
  2. Badminton birdies: Bring extra birdies in case they get damaged during the match. The color, material and brand of birdies should be agreed upon by both players. If the players don’t agree on the material, then plastic birdies must be used. If the players don’t agree on a brand of the plastic birdie, then Yonex Mavis 350 or 300 must be used (blue stripe and yellow color).
  3. Proper footwear: Badminton shoes are recommended as they provide good grip and support for quick movements on the court.
  4. Athletic clothing: Wear comfortable, breathable clothes that allow for easy movement.
  5. Water bottle: Stay hydrated during the match.
  6. Personal towel: Use it to wipe sweat and dry the racket handle.
  7. Sports tape: for any small injuries or to wrap around the racket handle for a better grip.
  8. Small first aid kit: Band-aids, anti-inflammatory medication and blister plasters in case of any small injuries.
  9. Locker lock: Some centres might require you bring your own gym lock.
  10. Small bag to carry your items: A small backpack or duffel bag is ideal for carrying all of your badminton essentials.

Please note that this list may vary depending on the individual’s preferences.
